Gears 5

The month of September starts of strong with The Coalition’s third-person shooter called Gears 5. This will be the sixth title in the Gears of War series. The game focuses in an Outsider of Locust descent – Kait Diaz (Laura Bailey famous voice actress who provides voices for English versions of anime, animations and video games). Playing as Kait the player must uncover the origins of the Locust and Kait’s family. The game looks spectacular and the expectations are very high for this one. The game is set to be released on September 6th.

NBA 2K20

On the same date as Gears 5, September 6th will also be the release date for NBA 2K series new title – NBA 2K20. For the past month NBA 2K20 has been an often-seen title in the media. Because this will be the first NBA 2K game that will feature women characters from WNBA. There have been quite mixed feelings about this involving woman feeling empowered and men making fun of women who play basketball or not understanding why game creators are mixing WNBA with NBA.

Borderland 3

Next we have Gearbox Software fourth title in Borderlands series – Borderlands 3. An action role-playing first-person shooter video game. Players can either play alone or In parties up to 4 people. There are four classes available from which players can make a character. Take on different missions that are given out by NPCs and at bounty boards to gain experience and various in-game rewards. Borderlands 3 will be released on September 13th.

The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening

Later in September The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening after 25 years will see its remake on Nintendo Switch. It looks like the game is a perfect mix of wonderful HD paint without loosing the same timeless gameplay and cute minifigures. The game will be released on September 20.

Doctor Who: The Edge of Time

There is also a new VR game coming in September, though the date has not been specified jet. The game is called Doctor Who: The Edge of Time and is being created in close collaboration with the production team at BBC Studios. Players will be able to co-pilot TARDIS with the Doctor that has been voiced by Jodie Whittaker. Game creators say that players will be able to explore “every nook and cranny and travelling across space and time to series of wondrous locations, all within virtual reality.”
