Hardcore Action RPG The Surge 2: new combat trailer

|

The sequel to action role-playing game The Surge released in 2017 is finally coming to us. The sequel is called The Surge 2 and it will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on September 24, 2019. The game is developed by Deck13 Interactive, published by Focus Home Interactive and designed by Adam Hetenyi.

In this combat trailer we can see some epic fighting and most of all the mind-blowing variations of the equipment and weapons. The official information about combat says:

The combat is intense. With 80 weapons to choose from, a directional parry system, dodge mechanics, drones, and a huge range of brutal execution moves, you can approach combat in the way that suits your playstyle. Charge in and pound your enemies into submission with punching gloves or sting like a bee using the spear.

The Surge 2 overview

The story is that the main character survives a plain crash and weeks after the crash finds himself in Jericho city. The city is overrun by a lethal nanite-based disease. And the players are the only hope that Jericho city has.

The game is set in Jericho city that players can explore. Along the way players will meet a lot of non-playable characters and will have to make various decisions that will affect the game world and the players story. The game is played from a third-person perspective and it has a rich character creator that allows players to create their avatar very unique. Players can even choose from melee weapons and even change their limbs to different weapons to make killing enemies even more fun.  Another fun thing is that players can write graffiti massages for other players to see.

You can pre-order The Surge 2 right now in Standard Edition and Limited Edition. The Limited edition includes not only the game itself but an exclusive 8-page comic book, Double poster with artwork and the game map, 3 exclusive lithographs and a Lenticular exclusive cover.
