Yesterday there was an event happening that was dedicated to Shigenori Soejima, the person behind the art of Persons characters and Catherine. And in this event Persona 5 Royal release was announced.
Persona 5 Royal in art exhibit
The event is called – ATLUS art exhibit 2019: Persona 5 Royal & Catherine: Full body showcase featuring Shigenori Soejima. The event took place in California, Alhambra in Gallery Nucleus. The exhibit was opened yesterday and it will be open for another few weeks till September 1.
This ATLUS art exhibit features:
- Over a dozen fan created pieces of tribute art will be on display
- Rare game artwork from the PERSONA 5 and CATHERINE franchise will also be on display
- Interactive installation
- Photo-op wall
- This even is all ages but please note some of the art features mature themes
Persona 5 Royal release date
A specific date for the game release was not mentioned, but we got a year and even a season – Spring 2020. So we at least know that the game will be coming west some time in spring next year. Though Japan already knows when they are going to get Persona 5 Royal. It will be released on October 31, 2019 in Japan. Also, Persona 5 Royal will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
The panel with Shigenori Soejima was not livestreamed but thanks to some enthusiastic twitter users, everyone who was not at the event can get a peak at what was going on there.
