Why players are furious about Fortnite new season mech?

It’s only been a couple of days since Fortnite new season and the players are already hating the game’s newest vehicle called the B.R.U.T.E. mech. This new Fortnite BRUTE mechanized death machine allows one gunner and one driver to explore the game’s map and at the same tike unleash torrents of missiles and destroy anything that stands in the way.

To be in this mech may seem fun, it’s not so fun if you are the one who’s being blown up by one of these death machines. And here is where the real hatred started, because until the players felt it on their own skin there were just some complaints when the B.R.U.T.E. vehicle was announced in the season X patch notes. To let others, know their frustration the players took it to both the game’s competitive and subreddits.

One Reddit writes some harsh words: “This is literally without a doubt the worse thing they have done to this game (..) I’ve dealt with the planes and double pumps and everything else…this is just dumb.”

Pro gamers don’t like Fortnite BRUTE

And if you think that these are just players that are armatures and just haven’t learned to use B.R.U.T.E. you are wrong. Because professional Fortnite players and streamers are hating this new mech. Dakotaz, a popular streamer, has shared a video on twitter that shows his new mech-related death that he suffered and his appropriate reaction to it happening. Also, one of the top clips on the subreddit is of Fortnite World Cup Solo Finals champions Bugha getting plainly blown up by mech and the title reads “Fortnite World Cup Solo champion gets outplayed.”

Fortnite BRUTE is too deadly

The main problem that everyone is having with this mech is just that it is too deadly. B.R.U.T.E. has two weapons – a shotgun and a missile launcher and the shotgun rarely is being used because why use that if you have such a deadly missile launcher. And the missile launcher is the star of the vehicle’s problems. The gunner is able to charge the missile launcher to fire up to 10 missiles in one time and it doesn’t even need to be fully charged to be able to do 200 damage, the games max possible health and blowing up any buildings on the way.

One other thing that is annoying is that you are not always even able to see when B.R.U.T.E. is even shooting at you and the chances are that you can die without even getting a chance to fight back. The missiles can come from a far distance and they can target you even if you are in another fight at that time.

Fortnite BRUTE can be controlled by one

And that’s not the end of the complaints list. The mechs are too easy for one player to pilot. Though there are two seats for shooting and driving, on player can just switch between these seats and keep their opponent in check.

While there may that there is no way out of this mess, maybe we just need to give it a little time. The season is just two days old after all. And maybe the players will learn to love the deadlines of the B.R.U.T.E. But if not, Epic’s is also fully prepaired to cut its losses similar to last winter when the Infinity Blade was added and then removed from Fortnite.
